About the role

Platform Science is looking for a Director of Procurement to join our growing team.
The primary work location will be daily, onsite in the San Diego, California office.
Establishes procurement practices and policies to provide visibility, appropriate controls, and enables higher quality purchasing decisions.

Develop and maintain systematic, analytical, and results-based methods for monitoring supplier's performance and communicate these results to the suppliers and end users.
Develop and utilize benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement; creation and improvement of best practice-based processes and procedures.
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities.
Responsible for overseeing the development of key supplier relationships and developing a partnership to support program requirements, lead times and program schedules.
Evaluate customer RFQ requirements and develop strategic sourcing objectives and plans to meet engineering requirements.

Demonstrate good leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders and executives
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment subject to constant change
Industry knowledge of procurement best practices and market roadmaps
