About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and implement critical, high-performance microservices to process, aggregate, and reconcile usage telemetry at massive scale with exact-once processing semantics.
- Manage individual project priorities, architecture decision records (ADRs), deadlines, and deliverables.
- Provide thoughtful feedback on technical designs, data schemas, and code reviews of peers.
- Document development procedures, metering contracts, system concepts, and domain knowledge.
- Build, launch, and maintain business-critical backend services in production across multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building enterprise-grade backend services.
Nice to have
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
- Experienced in backend development using Java (Spring Boot framework expertise preferred).
- Preferred experience or strong interest in consumption-based pricing, metering infrastructure, financial ledgers, or billing integrations.
Skills
- Evangelize best practices in distributed database usage, stream processing, and event-driven end-to-end architecture.
- Familiar with containerization and cloud orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure).
