About the role
- The Perioperative educator will focus on mentorship, curriculum development, lecturing, and implementation of an ongoing continuing education program.
- The perioperative clinical educator will adhere to all policies and procedures as they relate to the safe practice of central sterilization, processing, proper use and maintenance of all surgical and anesthetic equipment.

Responsibilities
- With over 20 specialties and services under one roof, our departments frequently work together to deliver the highest quality of patient care in the veterinary field.
- Collaborate with OR Manager, Clinical Educators, Surgery Team Leaders, OR Controller, and Director of Surgery to provide quality standards for patient care, and ongoing professional development to the perioperative care team
- A multidisciplinary team of 140+ veterinarians across 20+ specialties: With over 20 specialties and services under one roof, our departments frequently work together to deliver the highest quality of patient care in the veterinary field.
Requirements
- Current NYS Veterinary Technician license required
- Minimum 5 years' experience as an LVT
- Strong knowledge of operating room procedures and equipment
- Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide effective feedback
- Advanced knowledge of surgical equipment necessary
- Leadership experience required
Nice to have
- Associate or bachelor's degree from an AVMA accredited Veterinary Technology school
Compensation
- $70,000 - $85,000 USD
