About the role
- Headquartered in Singapore, Bitdeer operates globally with a diversified 3 GW energy portfolio, and deploys Bitcoin mining and HPC datacenters in the United States, Bhutan, Norway, Canada, Malaysia, and Ethiopia.
- Incentive & Compliance Programs: Establish and standardize patent incentive mechanisms to motivate internal R&D teams, ensuring high-quality patent submissions while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on patent licensing initiatives, cross-licensing agreements, and strategies related to standard-essential patents (SEP) to maximize commercial opportunities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation protocols, including proactive infringement monitoring and early warning systems.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in patent engineering, IP management, or related roles within technology-driven organizations or reputable IP agencies.
- Familiarity with US patent laws, regulations, and procedures, preferably with experience in US patent prosecution or intellectual property management.
- Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing patent management systems (e.g., proposal review processes, incentive programs, patent pool management, international patent portfolio management).
- Technical expertise in the technology areas of Semiconductor, Microelectronics, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science, with a demonstrated understanding of complex engineering principles and concepts.
- Experience in IP litigation, dispute resolution, and negotiations.
- Ability to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry
