About the role

  • Linus Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in the development of our web applications and platform.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of strategic product initiatives.
  • Serve as technical lead for a distributed team of engineers and contractors.
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Take accountability for the full lifecycle of critical feature work, driving features from initial requirements to technical design, through production deployment and long term maintenance.
  • Strong experience building full-stack applications with React and Node.js.
  • Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams, including employees and contractors.
  • Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architecture across teams.
  • Ability to balance rapid delivery with long-term maintainability and technical excellence.
  • About You: Must Have's: 8+ years of software engineering experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.

Compensation

  • The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $185-215,000 range per year.
