About the role
- Linus Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in the development of our web applications and platform.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of strategic product initiatives.
- Serve as technical lead for a distributed team of engineers and contractors.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
- Take accountability for the full lifecycle of critical feature work, driving features from initial requirements to technical design, through production deployment and long term maintenance.
- Strong experience building full-stack applications with React and Node.js.
- Proven ability to lead distributed engineering teams, including employees and contractors.
- Experience building and scaling consumer-facing products.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience leading technical initiatives and influencing architecture across teams.
- Ability to balance rapid delivery with long-term maintainability and technical excellence.
- About You: Must Have's: 8+ years of software engineering experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
Compensation
- The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $185-215,000 range per year.
