About the role
- MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists instructional personnel with the presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises.
- Assists individual students and small groups of students to reinforce and follow up learning activities.
- Monitors and assists students in a variety of instructional activities as a follow-up to the presentation of instructional concepts by instructional personnel.
Responsibilities
- Participates in school meetings, IEP/IFSP meetings, parent conferences, and in-services or other trainings; supports parent involvement in the classroom.
- Maintains a variety of records and files, including confidential student records and information Requisitions, stores and maintains an appropriate inventory of textbooks, instructional materials, supplies and equipment.
- May drive a van or automobile to transport students.
- Assists lead teacher by using good judgment regarding appropriate action to assist injured or physically ill students.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain satisfactory results on a pre-employment physical examination, including tuberculosis screening.
- SPECIFIC SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR POSITION Skill In: Effective communication with students, parents, or guardians, staff and administrators
- Knowledge of: Basic concepts of child development and developmental behavior characteristics
- Ability to: Read and write

- Licenses or Certifications Required A valid Washington State driver's license is required at the time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.
- A valid Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR certificate and Food Handler's permit may be required at the time of appointment or at a time set by the Tribe.
Compensation
- $50k-$69k

- JOB SUMMARY Under supervision, - assists lead teacher with instructional activities to provide learning experiences to individual and small groups of students.

- Assists in the preparation of a variety of instructional materials and learning aids for use with individual or small groups of students.
- Assists in maintaining an orderly, attractive and positive learning environment.
