About the role

  • The Senior Staff Counsel is a full-time attorney position within Asurion's Revenue Contracts team, reporting to the Director or Assistant General Counsel.
  • DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, WORKING CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND ACTIVITIES MY CHANGE OR NEW ONES MAY BE ASSIGNED AT ANY TIME WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately assesses and manages risk through knowledge of Asurion's business and relevant legal issues, including reconciling the implication of past precedent with current and future needs
  • Works to support client accounts, and act as a liaison to broker creative solutions for relevant stakeholders
  • Develop thorough understanding of Asurion's business, processes, and goals to provide innovative legal solutions that solve unique or challenging problems.
  • Professional interpersonal and organizational skills, and experience communicating with colleagues at various levels of the organization (support functions to executive team)
  • Able to work well within a team environment, as well as individually and collaborate effectively

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial transactions, including client agreement negotiations is required
  • Must be able to independently handle a variety and number of legal matters under supervision of more experienced legal counsel

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • AI and/or privacy experience a plus
  • Must be highly proficient with full Microsoft suite
  • familiarity with O365 a plus
