About the role

  • Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking a Software Developer with an advanced Mathematics and Physics background to join our team at our Corporate Headquarters in Colorado Springs, CO.
  • This position will focus on maintenance and development of software dealing with high fidelity physics modeling for Missile Warning training.
  • Successful candidates should be detail-oriented and have excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Performing agile software development in both unclassified and classified environments while utilizing software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and design documentation.

Requirements

  • Advanced consideration will be provided to candidates with a Space background and knowledge of the Missile Warning and Missile Defense communities.
  • Bachelor's degree in physics, engineering, applied mathematics (Masters preferred) or another relevant field.
  • Experience with C#.Net (preferred), Java, or C++
  • Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, must be able to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Candidate must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and work well in a team environment and perform independently.

Compensation

  • In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $95,000-$130,000.

  • Working as part of a small team on project development and integration of C# applications in a virtual environment.
  • Designing, implementing, and sustaining simulation algorithms predicting orbital and suborbital trajectories.
  • Deriving and coding equations of motion for boost, mid-course, and terminal guidance.
  • Predicting and modeling emerging threats as events occur in the missile warning community.
  • Interacting with customers to gather requirements and offer creative solutions, writing documentation, presenting project designs, performing user training, and attending requirements meetings.
  • Designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging application software that contains logical and mathematical solutions.
  • Analyzing user requirements.

Visa & Work Authorization

  • Active Secret Security Clearance preferred, must be able to obtain Top Secret Security Clearance
