About the role

  • Think of it as 'practical magic.' The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of wood processing equipment.
  • This role includes using wood processing equipment such as automated panel saws, edge banders, CNC routing & drilling equipment, and packing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a log and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment and perform basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
  • Check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion and resolve any identified problems and alert line lead.

Requirements

  • Produce the required quality & quantity of parts within established specifications to maximize daily productivity expectations of boards being shipped.
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work in all assigned areas of production and perform relief duties when required.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.
