About the role

  • The Barber is responsible for providing professional grooming services to residents in a treatment setting.
  • The Barber will focus on delivering a positive experience, ensuring clients feel confident and cared for through personalized haircuts and grooming services.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized barbering station and ensure all tools and equipment are sanitized.
  • Schedule appointments and manage client flow effectively to maximize service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to understand the needs of clients and offer appropriate grooming services.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to connect with clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, responding effectively to client needs.
  • Comfort working in a therapeutic setting, engaging with clients who may have varying emotional states.
  • Security & Compliance Requirements Criminal background check, reference check, and drug screening required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Completion of a state-approved barbering program is required.
  • Licensure & Certifications: Valid state barber's license is required.
  • Other Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to connect with clients.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.

Nice to have

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a barbering role preferred.
  • Valid state barber's license is required.
  • CPR Certification preferred
  • required within 6 months of hire.
