About the role
- You will focus on expanding strategic accounts by cross-selling the full suite of Dow Jones capabilities, driving product adoption, and cultivating long-term partnerships.
- You will report to the the Vice President - Global Strategic Sales.
- Through authoritative data, real-time intelligence, and deep market expertise, Dow Jones Energy enables financial professionals to mitigate risk and make high-stakes commercial decisions in volatile, fast-evolving global markets.
Responsibilities
- As Commercial Strategic Accounts Manager, you will drive net-new enterprise revenue and expand strategic, enterprise-wide contracts with global integrated oil companies, major refiners/marketers, and large midstream operators.
- You will drive revenue by closing new enterprise licenses, building strategic relationships to monetize Dow Jones Energy data and analytics within trading and supply-chain workflows, and converting product capabilities into long-term partnerships.
- Own and exceed a defined net-new revenue target for assigned Supermajor and midstream accounts
- Map and penetrate whitespace across trading desks, optimization teams, risk groups, and procurement to create cross-sell and upsell motion
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and C-suite engagement through commercial negotiation, MSA/legal review, and contract execution
- Build and monetize relationships with Head Traders, Optimization Managers, Risk Directors, Procurement leads, and Chief Economists to secure adoption across business units
- Maintain accurate CRM records and deliver reliable, data-driven forecasts and pipeline metrics to senior leadership
- Our offerings support institutional investors, analysts, and traders navigating spot, wholesale, and retail markets, as well as emerging segments tied to the global energy transition.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate large, complex contracts and present to C-suite and senior commercial leaders
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce and modern sales engagement and analytics platforms
Nice to have
- I Experience at energy market data vendors, price reporting agencies, commodity software providers, or commercial divisions of major energy firms (strongly preferred)
- Track record selling enterprise data feeds, API integrations, or ETRM/commodity software (preferred)
- Familiarity with AI, advanced feeds, and programmatic data delivery in energy markets (preferred)
Compensation

- This pay range reflects our good faith estimate for the role and may vary based on a candidate's experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors.
- $145,000 - $175,000

- At least 10 years' experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, or business development with a proven record of exceeding multi-million dollar quotas
- Strong understanding of how market data, benchmarks, APIs, and analytics integrate into trading, optimization, and risk workflows
- Experience building ROI models and using usage/consumption data to drive expansion (preferred)
