Files H-1B any time — no cap, no lottery. The 2026 weighted-selection rule doesn't touch it, which makes this the strongest structural path for entry-level talent. Pay is often lower, but your odds of staying are dramatically higher.

H-1B wage level

the lottery is wage-weighted — each level is one more entry

Level III · 3×
Level I$87,1731 entry
Level II$109,1792 entries
Level III$131,1863 entries
Level IV$153,1924 entries

$9,492 more$153,192 — moves this role to Level IV and 4 lottery entries. That figure is inside the range the employer already advertised.

Based on the DOL prevailing wage for this occupation and worksite, a base salary of $153,192 would place this position at wage Level IV. That figure is within the posted range, and I'd like to target it. This role classifies under "Software Developers" for prevailing-wage purposes.

Employer immigration record

from this employer's Department of Labor filings

States it is exempt from the H-1B cap

In 1 Department of Labor filing, this employer states it is an institution of higher education — one of the statutory grounds for exemption from the H-1B cap. Cap-exempt employers can file year-round without entering the lottery.Employer's own attestation on a Department of Labor wage determination, not a USCIS determination — exemption is decided per petition.

Files H-1B transfers

25 transfer filings in the last year, covering 25 workers. Median labor-condition decision: 7 days. An employer that already files transfers is one that can take over an existing H-1B.

Sourced from Department of Labor LCA, PERM and prevailing-wage disclosure data. Employer matching is by name, so figures may be split across an employer's legal entities. Absence of a filing means none appears in our copy of the data, not that none exists.

  • You'll work across Java and Python backend services while partnering closely with platform engineers, DevOps, and product teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
  • You will help shape the internal "paved roads" that engineering teams rely on: CI/CD automation, service scaffolding, developer portals, observability systems, internal APIs, and shared platform services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power internal developer platforms and tooling
  • Develop APIs, automation services, and platform components using Java and Python
  • Improve and evolve internal developer experience (DevEx) systems, including build, test, and deployment pipelines
  • Build and maintain internal tooling for service provisioning, environment management, and release automation
  • Partner with DevOps and platform teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
  • Develop internal APIs and service frameworks that enable teams to build and ship software faster
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers working in Angular and Flutter on internal dashboards and tooling interfaces
  • Reduce operational friction by identifying bottlenecks in the SDLC and building scalable solutions
  • Lead technical design discussions for platform architecture and internal systems
  • Mentor engineers and help drive best practices in DevEx, automation, and platform engineering
