About the role
- Assists the Shift Foreman in operating and maintaining production systems and mechanical equipment.
- Most of the job is on the production line, including bagging and stacking finished goods to prepare for shipment.
- Some maintenance will be done by the assistant with proper training.

Requirements
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate figures and amounts such as averages, percentages and volume
- Regularly required to stand, reach, climb, balance, walk and kneel
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
