About the role

  • As a Test Engineer II at Sierra Space, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to contribute to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components.
  • You will participate in the planning, execution, and documentation of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, scheduling, executing, and documenting test events to Verify and Validate (V&V) aerospace systems and components
  • Develop products such as test plans, procedures, and scripts to support test execution
  • Identify and define necessary test support equipment
  • Effectively coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop appropriate test products
  • Manage adherence to program budgets/schedule throughout test development and execution phases
  • Create and present information effectively to team members and senior engineers
  • Identify process gaps and work to implement solutions

Requirements

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
  • Typically 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of Product and Quality Assurance principles and experience with generation and disposition of product non-conformances
  • Ability to read/interpret schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques
  • Basic experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies
  • This role requires strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Compensation

  • $91,158.00 - $125,364.00
  • Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
  • The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
