About the role
- Safety Engineer PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating, through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities.
- We have an opportunity at our Martinez Refinery in California and are seeking a talented Safety Professional to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.
- The salary range for this position is $92,846.05 - $164,756.20.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve site safety programs
- Develop training materials for site employees and contractors
- Develop and implement KPIs to track effectiveness of safety programs
- Lead and support incident investigations by becoming certified in ABS Causal Analysis and Triangle of Prevention (TOP)
- Working with broad range of internal customers in support of Incident Investigation and Preventive and Corrective Actions as they relate to incidents across the site
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field
- 5-10 years of relevant field training/experience in a safety-related role.
- Occasionally an altered work schedule over an extended period may be required (maintenance outages and turnarounds)
- Candidate must have active TWIC card or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Significant field presence required during turnarounds

- Collaborate with others in similar roles across the organization to understand effective practices and to conduct health checks
