About the role
- The Fire and Security Technician performs all tasks under the direct supervision of a Lead Installation Technician or General Foreman and is primarily responsible for the accurate and efficient installation of simple to complex electronic systems.
Responsibilities

- Performs installation tasks such as cable placement and termination.
- Maintains a debris-free workspace.
- Utilizes Lead Tech as the primary communication conduit for technical questions, verifications, and issue reporting.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tool usage and safety.
- Familiarity with programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook and CMR.
- Must be solution-focused, forward-thinking and organized.
- Must be personable, and possess adequate communication, customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal and external team members.
- Ability to present self in a professional manner and positively represent the company image.
- Ability to work long hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by the job.
- Completes all required documentation accurately and within expected timeframes.
- Basic understanding of blueprints and drawings.
- Basic understanding of mounting and rigging concepts.
- Understand installation methods that apply to plumb, level, and square.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle stressful situations.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Aptitude and desire to learn new technologies as they are introduced to the Company.
- Highly adaptable to change.
