Responsibilities

  • Partner with Tax SMEs to understand current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Design future-state processes that are scalable, repeatable, and auditable, with a focus on operational efficiency, data integrity, and data readiness
  • Document processes and controls such that an Analyst can execute the process as well as to support internal and external audit requirements
  • Maintain and evolve processes by assessing impact of changes in business data or tax requirements, updating requirements, process design, and documentation as needed.

Requirements

  • 8+ years with BS/BA
  • 6+ years with MS/MA/MBA
  • 2+ years with PhD/PharmD

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of relevant experience supporting Tax, Finance, Controllership, or Audit processes with 3+ years in a global publicly traded corporate finance department
  • Strong working experience with data including a solid understanding of data structures, data integrity, and the ability to troubleshoot data-related problems
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Suite including Excel, Visio, and Teams
  • Experience with SAP, OneSource, and Power Query highly preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to "hear what people need" to uncover root causes
  • Self-starter with a passion for process improvement and ownership
  • Proven project management skills including managing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects

Compensation

  • $157,590.00 - $203,940.00.
  • Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
  • These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
  • This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
