About the role

  • Job Details: SUMMARY: This position follows the wet blue process formula by monitoring temperature ranges, pH levels, and mechanical action, while promptly reporting any formula discrepancies.
  • The role also requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, completion of assigned duties, and flexibility to work holidays, weekends, and other hours as needed.
  • Communication Skills: Good written communication skills to follow prescribed formula in the process; good verbal communication skills to work closely with other departments.

Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk on hard, wet, and slippery surfaces for long periods of time, crouch, squat, climb stairs and ladders, and occasionally crawl.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift (occasionally overhead), push, pull, and carry 60 pounds individually and more with assistance.
  • Must be able to continuously and repetitively grasp, reach, pinch, and hold small, medium, and large sized objects frequently.
  • Must be able to work in hot and/or cold, humid, wet, environment.

Nice to have

  • 1 +years' experience in Hides/Tannery process preferred.
  • High School diploma or higher preferred.

Skills

  • Must demonstrate self-motivation and obtain qualification in respiratory protection and SCBA requirements to safely work with chemicals.
  • Responsible for conducting visual inspections of drums and promptly reporting any equipment that is not functioning properly.
