About the role

  • Freese and Nichols is seeking an Project Accountant in Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, or Dallas, Texas, with experience in project accounting, primarily focused on contract review, project maintenance, revenue recognition, and project invoicing.
  • - Set-up projects in the accounting system, reviewing and maintaining project-related documents, including contracts and amendments, revenue recognition, reviewing and approving timesheets, data analysis, and processing invoices that align with client and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up projects in the accounting system, reviewing and maintaining project-related documents, including contracts and amendments, revenue recognition, reviewing and approving timesheets, data analysis, and processing invoices that align with client and contract requirements.
  • Proactively review pre-developed monitoring analytical tools and skilled in building basic analytic tools to provide PMs, and GMs with data for gaps in target goals and for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance role.
  • Familiarity with Accounting software.
  • Conduct required analysis for assigned groups and projects to identify errors and to ensure accurate revenue recognition and WIP management.
  • Occasional travel between offices is required, as needed

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or other related field
  • Accounting experience working in the AEC industry
