About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to accelerate retailer deal flow and portfolio performance.
You will join a high-impact, collaborative pod within Strategic Finance, working daily with Retail Partnerships, Deal Desk, Legal, Revenue Operations, Data Science, and Accounting.
This is an opportunity to roll up your sleeves in a fast-paced, evolving environment, bring structure to ambiguity, and make a visible impact on Instacart's growth.

Instacart's Strategic Finance team partners closely with leaders across the business to drive clarity, rigor, and results.
Own end-to-end financial modeling for retailer partnerships, including pricing strategies, incentive structures, unit economics, and ROI analyses with scenario and sensitivity testing.
Build and maintain driver-based forecasts for a portfolio of retailer deals; establish KPIs, track performance vs. plan, and surface insights that improve margin and payback.
Design and standardize scalable templates, playbooks, and dashboards that streamline diligence, approval, and post-close performance management.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Data Science, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Legal to ensure operational feasibility, policy alignment, and accurate financial treatment.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field.
Proficiency in SQL for self-serve analysis and experience with a BI tool (e.g., Looker or Tableau).

Experience with marketplace or retailer/CPG partnerships and multi-sided platform economics.
Hands-on collaboration with Sales/Partnerships and Legal on deal terms (e.g., volume commitments, incentives, performance SLAs).
Familiarity with revenue recognition concepts (e.g., ASC 606) and how contract structures impact financial treatment.
MBA, CFA, or CPA.
