Responsibilities
- Leads and mentors a team of engineers, designers & technicians who support the engineering team working on the electronic control system of the Radixact and CyberKnife Delivery Systems.
- Manages budgetary needs and participate in the budget process.
- Provides technical leadership to support the larger mechanical systems team.
- Leads a team of Mechanical and Motion Control Engineers, Designers & Technicians responsible for engineering development, building, and testing hardware solutions for Accuray products.
- Expected to provide guidance and mentorship, manage performance, select, and develop employees.
- This position also provides high-level technical direction and provides input on design architecture and project prioritization.
- Accuray develops, manufactures and sells radiotherapy systems for alternative cancer treatments.
Requirements
- Familiarity with supporting project management, providing estimates and budgeting.
- Experience engineering hardware in a regulated industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 7 years of experience in hardware development and at least 4 years demonstrated successful engineering team management.
- To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
