  • Pacific Life is actively seeking a talented Underwriting Managing Director to join our Consumer Markets Division and lead a team of Underwriters.
  • This role supports 100% remote work.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of team management experience in an Underwriting capacity
  • Ability to handle advanced decision level authorities without a co-signature ($15 Million or higher)
  • Critical thinking skills and attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events
  • Ability to interpret meaning of information for others

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • BGA and Trial Experience Preferred
  • Completion of FALU, CLU, FLMI or other insurance related course work

Skills

  • Complete wing-to-wing underwriting decisions, starting with review of upfront underwriting data and tools
  • Staff coaching and development of Underwriting Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Finalizing cases and performing second-sign duties as needed

Compensation

  • For highly qualified candidates, compensation may exceed the posted salary range.
  • The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting.
  • The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location.
  • Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
  • $152,370.00 - $186,230.00
