Responsibilities

  • Support the development of (and updates to) vehicle safety regulatory forecasts.
  • Support work on analysis and strategic recommendations in a timely manner to MMC on US regulatory activities
  • Support MMSCan on vehicle safety related matters upon request.
  • Support work on analysis and strategic recommendations in a timely manner to MMC on US regulatory activities; guide MMC in its comments for rulemaking or other government-initiated actions; help to consolidate MMC/MMNA input.
  • Support providing input on new regulatory and consumer program requirements, engage with and advocate MMC's position to safety organizations regarding such requirements.
  • Plan, coordinate, witness, analyze, and document safety testing of Mitsubishi vehicles sold in the NA market.

Requirements

  • Four-year engineering degree (automotive related) or equivalent.
  • Proven research abilities are required.
  • Ability to apply related engineering principles and practices to safety and advanced technology-related technical projects and processes.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of automotive development or equivalent experience.
  • Active or passive safety preferred.
