Responsibilities
- Support the development of (and updates to) vehicle safety regulatory forecasts.
- Support work on analysis and strategic recommendations in a timely manner to MMC on US regulatory activities
- Support MMSCan on vehicle safety related matters upon request.
- Support work on analysis and strategic recommendations in a timely manner to MMC on US regulatory activities; guide MMC in its comments for rulemaking or other government-initiated actions; help to consolidate MMC/MMNA input.
- Support providing input on new regulatory and consumer program requirements, engage with and advocate MMC's position to safety organizations regarding such requirements.
- Plan, coordinate, witness, analyze, and document safety testing of Mitsubishi vehicles sold in the NA market.
Requirements
- Four-year engineering degree (automotive related) or equivalent.
- Proven research abilities are required.
- Ability to apply related engineering principles and practices to safety and advanced technology-related technical projects and processes.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of automotive development or equivalent experience.
- Active or passive safety preferred.
