As an Information Security Engineer II, you will support Cisco's data security posture by assisting with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) efforts focused on protecting data in motion using Microsoft's Purview and Defender security suite.
This role emphasizes policy development, operational support and automation with guidance form experienced information security leaders.
Your Responsibilities Support Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), Cloud Security, and Endpoint System Data Protection initiatives.
Assist in developing and tuning DLP policies using Microsoft Purview and Defender tools.
Collaborate with security operations to transition data discovery and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) capabilities into operational workflows.
Help maintain and tune DSPM tools to identify and mitigate data risks.
Support automation and AI/ML initiatives conceptually and assist in operational tuning.
Collaborate with IT, Risk and Compliance, Privacy, and business units to embed security into system designs and workflows.

Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Defender, and related security tools is acceptable
Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, from academic projects or internships.

Interest in pursuing certifications like CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CCSP.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in security.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.

$97,700.00 - $142,500.00 * For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements.
