About the role

  • The cook's role is to oversee the kitchen, prepare meals, supervise staff and ensure guests have an excellent experience during their scheduled shift.
  • Food preparation, making meals (including special dietary needs), and cleaning up in a timely manner per camp schedules
  • Supervising other food staff and volunteers

Responsibilities

  • Model and maintain a Christ-like, servant attitude toward guests and staff

Requirements

  • Excellent time management, ability to work under pressure, and flexibility
  • Ability to accept guidance and supervision
  • Ability to teach and supervise
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours
  • Godly, Christian character, integrity, and adaptability
  • Pleasant personality even in stressful situations with guests and staff
  • Availability early June to early August
  • Completion of appropriate online food safety course
