About the role

  • You will be responsible for ensuring all work performed on the aircraft meets established quality and airworthiness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on working CC leads aircraft ground crew operations
  • Support manufacturing and flight test activities based upon schedule needs
  • We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment.
  • Stratolaunch is seeking a hands-on Carrier Aircraft Crew Chief (Boeing 777) to lead the Aircraft Maintenance Team in the efficient execution of the work scope performed to the aircraft; maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspections, and alterations.
  • Ensure that personnel assigned to perform tasks are qualified to perform the task and identify training requirements

Requirements

  • Have demonstrated work experience on Boeing widebody aircraft systems such as fuel, pneumatics, hydraulics, flight controls, engines, landing gears, etc.
  • Have experience in large aircraft movements, safety, and procedures
  • Possess a working knowledge of FAA regulations and airworthiness requirements
  • A strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Have a working knowledge of Jira
  • Support any FAA activities as required
  • Sign-off required aircraft forms to clear aircraft for flight
  • Identify quality issues and communicate those with the Director of Operations, with manufacturing and assembly, involve program and manufacturing leadership to help resolve issues as required

Nice to have

  • FAA IA or EASA certification
  • Boeing Gen Fam with RII authorization
  • Unrestricted engine run qualifications on Boeing or similar large jet aircraft
  • Formal training on advanced systems/avionics on Boeing aircraft
  • Current A&P license
  • 10+ years of experience on large transport category aircraft
  • Special remarks regarding work environment, if applicable
  • $47.00-$75.00/hr., OT eligible

Compensation

  • Ability to travel with the aircraft outside of the contiguous United States (OCONUS) for durations up to 6 weeks at a time, up to 3 times per year.
