About the role
- Reporting to: Vice President of Research & Development Clinical Affairs
- Establishing/tracking formulation stability throughout the development process.
- Work on formulation changes/upgrades of existing products to improve cost.
Responsibilities
- Develop formulations for OTC Skin Care, Cosmetic & Personal Care products.
- Properly document all experimental work neatly and correctly and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Conduct research, gather documentation and experiments to develop claim substantiation.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- The Associate Research Scientist is responsible for assisting the Research Scientist and the Formulation Sciences department in the development of new OTC Skin Care/Cosmetic/Personal Care products from concept to commercialization to support company growth.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in cosmetic/personal care product development.
- Experience with Viscometers, Mixers, pH meter and other OTC Skin Care/Cosmetic/Personal care Lab equipment is REQUIRED.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with the ability to communicate complex data effectively.
Nice to have
- Prefer familiarity with OTC/Personal Care/Cosmetic Regulatory requirements and cGMP.
