About the role

Responsibilities
- Serve as the finance lead for Samsara's R&D organization, partnering directly with C-level leaders on budget trade-offs, headcount decisions, and infrastructure investment
- Build scalable financial processes and use AI tools to automate reporting, accelerate analysis, and deliver real-time visibility to R&D leadership
- Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team
- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team
- Samsara is looking for a Senior Manager, Finance and Strategy, to partner with our Research & Development (R&D) organization.
- In this role, you will partner with business leaders to set and achieve corporate goals.
- You will drive quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform strategic judgements and identify optimization opportunities.
- You will support corporate financial goals by driving forecast models and providing accurate guidance to our leaders and investors.

Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Corporate Finance, financial planning and analysis, or strategic finance experience
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally

Compensation
- Own FP&A for R&D and Supply Chain Operations - monthly BvA reviews with VP-level leaders, quarterly reforecasts, and the annual operating plan across Software, Firmware, and Hardware Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain Operations
