About the role

  • This position is in the Network Engineering and Operations Directorate within House Information Resources (HIR), Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, U.S. House of Representatives.
  • This role serves as the Network Communication Specialist.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have at least three years of demonstrated experience managing Cisco networks.
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • The candidate must be knowledgeable in technologies such as VPN, configuring IPSEC tunnels, and DHCP scopes.
  • In order to be approved for the applicable badge, you must be a U.S. citizen.
  • The successful candidate must be available for 24x7 on-call emergency support.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in network management, monitoring tools, and network routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, IEEE 802.x Ethernet) is essential.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA) are highly desired.
  • Remedy CTS experience is required Minimum of 3 years in specific experience with wide area network transport technologies.
