About the role

Our firm is looking for a creative, talented interior designer to design beautiful, functional spaces for commercial and residential clients.
The ideal candidate for our interior designer position is a team player who is effective at collaborating with colleagues and partners but is also self-motivated and able to complete work to deadlines with minimal supervision.

Collaborate with architects, builders, mechanical and structural engineers, and other members of the project team to create and implement a design plan
Create preliminary design schemes, either by hand-sketching or computer-aided design (CAD)
Ensure that interior design plans comply with building codes and inspection regulations
Develop a project timeline and estimates for project costs
Obtain client approval for interior design plan and cost estimate
Oversee installation of the design elements

Passing score on state-approved interior design exam is required
Finalize plans using CAD applications to varying degrees of detail as required by the project, including design plans, floor plans, electrical layouts, and information needed for building permits

Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or related field strongly preferred
Certification in an interior design specialty-such as lighting design, universal design, or kitchen and bath design-is preferred, but not required
