About the role

  • Job Title: Systems Engineering Technologist Location: Ft.

  • It brings control, performance, and lifecycle governance together, allowing AI to operate predictably within safety-critical environments without compromising certification or system integrity.

Responsibilities

  • It supports industries like aerospace, defense, automotive, and industrial computing through consulting, engineering, integration, and lifecycle support, reducing development risk and accelerating certification in standards-driven, mission-critical environment.
  • Prompt hands-on support for test setups, debugging, and troubleshooting and restoring proper functionality of hardware systems, to minimize systems down-time.
  • Develop hardware systems documentation - for engineering systems users (internal and external), to maximize the systems up-time and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross disciplinary stake holders across the organization (e.g. Sales, Technical Support, Security, IT, Shipping, etc.), to align in the key objectives and projects requirements as relevant to systems engineering and lab management.

Requirements

  • Must-Have Skills & Experience Associates degree - new grads welcome - in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in lieu of degree will be considered as well.
  • Due to export‑controlled work, U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice to have

  • Skills Practical experience with network design, as well as hardware and software system components.
  • Basic understanding of standards and compliance: EMI, safety, regulatory.
  • Prior exposure to U.S. export control regulations or regulated development environments is an asset.
  • Eligibility: Due to export‑controlled work, U.S. citizenship is required.

  • Role Summary Reporting to our Principal Systems Engineer in Waterloo (Ontario, Canada), this role will be responsible for supporting embedded hardware systems for software development and certification, testing and validation, while managing day-to-day hardware lab operation, maintenance, and continuous improvements.
  • This role combines hands-on technical expertise, to lab operations management, to ensure labs are safe, efficient, and embedded hardware systems are maintained fully operational.
