Skills

  • High school diploma plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have basic mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic skills
  • Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
  • Associate's degree plus one (1) year of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in mechanical, HVAC, and/or electrical/electronic troubleshooting and repair

  • Based in our Sidney, OH, location, you will work in conjunction with product and research engineers to design, develop, and qualify compressors for HVACR systems.

  • We are seeking a 3rd shift HVAC/R technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation.
  • Follow engineering laboratory test instructions to perform tests on variable-speed compressors
  • Set up and install compressors and support compressor electronics for test purposes
  • Operate laboratory test equipment, including calorimeters, mass flow stands, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire compressor performance characteristics
  • Setup and operate variable-speed drives for testing purposes
  • Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests
  • Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards
  • Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab
  • You will be responsible for completing required tests and communicating test results with engineers.
  • You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab
  • This position is on the third shift and consists of five eight-hour workdays Monday through Friday and is eligible for voluntary overtime.
  • This role is based fully on-site and is not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
