Responsibilities
- Cloudpoint Geospatial is looking for a GIS Technician to provide project support through GPS field data collection, map creation, and geospatial data editing.
- Perform GIS data maintenance, analysis, entry, and conversion; perform data research, investigation, and verification; assist with solving technical problems and determining possible solutions.
- Create, maintain, and update digital maps, drawings, plans, spreadsheets, data files, and documentation for a variety of uses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a clean driving record and be capable of operating technical equipment.
Requirements
- 2+ years of data collection experience in the field.
- Experience manipulating geospatial data using Esri software.
- Experience in GNSS, LiDAR, or UAS and data capture technologies.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace Applications.
- Frequently communicates with coworkers and clients about project work and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on geography, engineering, planning, computer science, a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications and the ability to learn new hardware and software components.
