Responsibilities

  • Cloudpoint Geospatial is looking for a GIS Technician to provide project support through GPS field data collection, map creation, and geospatial data editing.
  • Perform GIS data maintenance, analysis, entry, and conversion; perform data research, investigation, and verification; assist with solving technical problems and determining possible solutions.
  • Create, maintain, and update digital maps, drawings, plans, spreadsheets, data files, and documentation for a variety of uses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and be capable of operating technical equipment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of data collection experience in the field.
  • Experience manipulating geospatial data using Esri software.
  • Experience in GNSS, LiDAR, or UAS and data capture technologies.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace Applications.
  • Frequently communicates with coworkers and clients about project work and must be able to clearly exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Qualifications Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with a focus on geography, engineering, planning, computer science, a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Applications and the ability to learn new hardware and software components.
