  • As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of our Payroll and Retirement Benefits team.
  • You will work with participants to answer questions related to their benefits.

  • You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing supporting workpapers, reports, and filings, and documenting observations for review.
  • You will complete accounting, annual budgeting and other work related to the administration of many qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
  • You will monitor, evaluate and reconcile financial records to ensure transactions are properly recorded.
  • Flexibility is key, as you will have other duties as assigned.
  • Results oriented and possess analytical skills to handle moderately complex processes.
  • General knowledge in applicable financial field (such as GAAP, Statutory, retirement plans, state and federal tax laws, payroll, SOX/MAR, etc.), Advanced computer skills in order to quickly learn our multiple systems (Excel skills preferred).
  • Ability to work independently with occasional direction and in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work from our office in West Des Moines, Iowa.
