  • Position Overview Gene By Gene is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to work within the Core department to assist with DNA extraction, sample management, general organization, and maintenance of the area.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong computer proficiency with fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • High attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining exceptional accuracy during repetitive, routine tasks.

Nice to have

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once trained, while maintaining high productivity.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) for collaborating with team members and documenting discrepancies.
  • Professional Integrity.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness, with a strict commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security (HIPAA compliance).
  • Reliability in attendance and task execution.
  • Experience High school diploma or GED.
  • Associates degree or college level coursework in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year experience in a laboratory environment preferred.

Compensation

  • Generous 50% company match up to 6% of annual base salary.
