About the role

The Boom Truck Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transport of equipment and materials to and from job sites within the local area and surrounding regions.
This role involves operating a boom truck, including towing equipment trailers, and supporting jobsite operations as needed.
Transport construction materials and equipment to and from jobsite locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Perform general labor duties at construction sites as needed to support project operations.
Maintain a clean and organized jobsite by collecting materials, tools, and equipment, and securing the site daily to reduce hazards.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Ability to maintain the highest safety standards.

Use of the hands and arms to steer, shift, brake, and operate the vehicle and trailer controls is required.
The position requires operating and interacting with electronic systems, including using an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) to accurately record hours of service, duty status changes, and other DOT-required information.
The employee must be able to view, enter, and verify electronic data on handheld or in-cab devices.
May be required to drive and or stay overnight.
Must be able to work 8 to 12-hour days, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends.
A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required, along with a strong commitment to safety and adherence to all company and regulatory standards.
In addition to driving duties, the position may be required to help with general labor tasks to assist with project requirements.
High school diploma or equivalent, along with two or more years of experience operating a boom truck or a similar tractor-trailer combination hauling equipment
Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, especially Hours of Service

Current and valid CDL Class A license.
Ability to use Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
Ability to read maps, follow directions, and navigate with GPS.
Ability to reliably meet attendance schedules as required by management and/or project needs.
OSHA-10 training preferred.
Early morning start time may range from 1 am - 5 am, depending on the job needs.
This is a safety-sensitive position. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Must have a current, valid medical card for CDL/Class A License.

Ability to understand and comply with all Company and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) safety protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent, along with two or more years of experience operating a boom truck or a similar tractor-trailer combination hauling equipment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Keep the supervisor informed of any issues-written or verbal-that may impact job performance or company operations.
