About the role
- Position: Western Colorado University invites applications for the full-time position of Aquatics Director/Assistant Swim Coach.
- The position reports to the Head Swim Coach and is supported by 10-15 student employees.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the Colorado Timing System during all home meets.
- Develop flyers, brochures, and advertisements as needed to promote aquatic programming.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of management level experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree required.
- Knowledge of coaching methods.
- Ability to travel, including domestic/international air travel, and availability to work days/nights/weekends/holidays.
- Knowledge of all RMAC Conference and NCAA rules/bylaws.
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student-athletes and the general student body.
- This includes teaching lifeguarding, CPR, water safety and all other required certifications.

Compensation
- $40,560 This position is FLSA exempt Western offers an excellent benefits package including shared premiums for a comprehensive health insurance plan, dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options.
