About the role
- Labviva's marketplace is a two-sided e-commerce platform which allows enterprise clients to connect their scientists and laboratory administrators to millions of scientific products offered by a variety of different vendors.
- As a Senior Fullstack Engineer for the e-commerce PlatformTeam, you will help advance our core purchasing platform to provide a modern e-commerce experience specifically tailored for scientific users.
- This includes allowing scientists to search millions of data rich records when ordering equipment, chemicals, and lab consumables while providing suppliers with rich analytics about marketplace behavior.

- Mentor, support, collaborate with, and learn from other members of the team as well as other key stakeholders across the company
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of an area of our stack:
- Labviva provides an estimate of the compensation for roles as required by state regulations.
Nice to have
- Backend services supporting the entire marketplace including interfacing with data pipelines and supporting the frontend
- External integrations with third parties including different product information and order placement APIs
- Search infrastructure and optimizations for scientific use-cases
- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- You have 6+ years of experience
- You have a history of tackling large and complex problems and turning them into executable solutions
- You have a history of contributing to reliable and scalable software projects
- Elasticsearch ingestion pipelines and search tuning
