About the role

You will monitor all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained, and equipment repairs are completed in a timely fashion.
The work hours are night shift (5 pm - 1:30am).
During high production volume, the work hours are 5 pm - 5am including weekends and holidays as needed.

Maintains our parts inventory for all equipment by providing a complete list of parts to be ordered, including the vendor to be used and the associated cost for each part
Keeps informed of all new technology and equipment used by the technical support and production operations departments.
Accountable to meet or exceed Cost Per Unit targets on his/her shift (i.e. labor costs, overtime, inventory control etc.) · Monitors and improves machine efficiency. · Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs all Technicians under direct report
Maintains all records pertaining to department personnel under individuals report
Span of control: approximately 15-20 direct reports, and all production equipment used by technical support and production operations

Associate's degree or Technical/Trade School
5+ years' experience and a proven proficiency in the operation and repair of production equipment
3 years' minimum supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment, including: conducting performance reviews, leading by example, encouraging teamwork
Proven proficiency in the operation and repair of insertion and bindery equipment, electronic and electric circuit experience is required
Knowledge, understanding and experience of reporting tools Jet/IQ
Experience in Microsoft Office

$75,000 - $80,000 annual.
