About the role

Nicewood Enterprises, our architectural millwork division, takes that standard into a specialized world where precision fabrication meets exacting client expectations.
This is not a theoretical project management role.
You will be on the floor, in the drawings, on the phone with architects and contractors, and at the dock when product ships.

Collaborate with our CAD engineers to oversee shop drawing production, review and maintain updated drawing sets, and ensure all documents reflect current client specifications.
Develop project schedules in coordination with the Production Manager, identify long-lead procurement items early, and monitor milestones to keep every project on track.
Build and manage detailed project budgets, including material costs, labor estimates, and vendor pricing. Track expenditures and flag variances before they become problems.
Conduct site visits to capture field dimensions, validate architectural plans, and confirm specifications directly with architects and contractors.
Perform regular shop floor walkthroughs to verify fabrication quality and confirm work in progress matches scope and drawings.
Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and client-initiated revisions with clear documentation and stakeholder communication throughout.
The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and engineering documents. You do not need to be a drafter, but you need to be fluent in the language of technical drawings.
Build and manage detailed project budgets, including material costs, labor estimates, and vendor pricing.
A Project Assistant, shop coordinator, or production coordinator who has been managing the details of complex projects and is ready to own the full PM role formally.
You will own your work.

Project coordination or management experience in architectural millwork, custom fabrication, commercial construction, or a closely related field.
You have managed timelines, tracked milestones, and made the calls needed to keep a project moving when things shift.
Technical proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design software, and comfort working in project management and office productivity tools.
