About the role
- The Vice President of Finance is both a strategic leadership and tactical position responsible for overseeing all financial operations at Brigit.
- This is a full-time position based in New York City, requiring onsite presence at Brigit's office 3-5 days per week depending on business needs.
- At this time, we're unable to consider remote candidates.
Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy: Partner with the executive leadership team to drive strategic planning, increase growth and profitability, launch new product offerings, optimize customer unit economics, and more.
- Financial Modeling & Analysis: Lead financial modeling and forecasting to support strategic decision-making, business optimizations, and resource allocation.
- Accounting: Manage the accounting team to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to support business operations, providing financial insights and recommendations that improve financial performance.
- Integration: Partner with Upbound (our parent company) to integrate financial and accounting processes, drive efficiencies, and adhere to public company standards

Requirements
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis
- experience with Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Oracle Fusion (or other similar ERP).
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred.

- Compensation
- The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $250,000.

Compensation
- The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $200,000 - $250,000.
- This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed below).
- Annual reimbursement for Learning & Development
- Budgeting and Reporting: Lead the quarterly and annual budgeting process, report actual performance versus budget, and make recommendations to course correct when necessary.
