Responsibilities

  • Congregational Support and Innovation
  • Conduct regular church visits within your region to represent CBOQ, building relationships and connections with church boards, leadership, and pastors.
  • Assess churches for the Revitalization program and guide those interested through the process, offering training and support in areas of restructuring and visioning.
  • Leadership and Pastoral Support and Development
  • Discern and assess the need for pastoral care among pastors and their families, providing support or referring to appropriate resources as necessary.
  • Create connections between pastors and leaders to foster mutual support.
  • Intentionally support accredited workers serving outside of churches, including chaplains, retirees and other ministry leaders.
  • Facilitate regular convening of the associations within their region and support association leaders and moderators.
  • Manage a CBOQ-wide portfolio.

Requirements

  • Experience as a pastoral leader within a local church
  • Experience in leading and forming an organization internally
  • Willingness to travel within the CBOQ constituency and more widely as required to represent CBOQ

Nice to have

  • Master's level degree preferred, with a focus on ministry/theology

Compensation

  • The salary range is $60,000 to $70,000.
