- The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of wells, including constant monitoring of well performance.
Responsibilities
- Create cost estimates and AFEs for new wells, artificial lift repairs, and workovers.
- Monitor artificial lift and production trends, design workover, and intervention programs in order to maximize oil recovery.
- Coordinate with Production Operations to optimize artificial lift and facilities for maximum production.
- Design, analyze and make recommendations to optimize artificial lift systems.
- Analyze well failures and track trends and implement changes to reduce failure frequency.
- Provide Production Engineering technical support to Field Operations, Infrastructure, Completions, etc. as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in oil shale plays and unconventional assets.
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Production Engineer.
- Must be willing to travel to site.
Nice to have
- Two (2) years of Permian Basin experience.
- Prefer one (1) year of experience with rod design, nodal analysis, or ESP design programs.
- Two (2) years of horizontal and multiple stage completion experience is a plus.
- Motivated self-starter capable of performing with minimal supervision.
