About the role

  • The Employee Health Nurse helps ensure a safe environment for employees, patients and volunteers.
  • Utilizes skills to assess, plan and monitor an employee's health and workplace safety from pre-placement through end of employment as well as participates in risk assessment and risk potential of the facility.
  • The Employee Health Nurse fosters a work environment supportive of healthy lifestyles.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ergonomic assessments of employee workstations.
  • Provide and maintain the immunization/tuberculosis screening and surveillance program for SPH employees (including candidates for employment and current employees) and volunteers per established requirements.

Requirements

  • Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Required: Three to five years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
  • Required: Current State of Wisconsin license as a Registered Nurse
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months from date of hire.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Compensation

  • Provide annual TB testing and follow-up on any new conversions or positives.
  • Provide annual employee/volunteer influenza vaccination.
