About the role
- The Employee Health Nurse helps ensure a safe environment for employees, patients and volunteers.
- Utilizes skills to assess, plan and monitor an employee's health and workplace safety from pre-placement through end of employment as well as participates in risk assessment and risk potential of the facility.
- The Employee Health Nurse fosters a work environment supportive of healthy lifestyles.
Responsibilities
- Perform ergonomic assessments of employee workstations.
- Provide and maintain the immunization/tuberculosis screening and surveillance program for SPH employees (including candidates for employment and current employees) and volunteers per established requirements.
Requirements
- Required: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Required: Three to five years of nursing experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Required: Current State of Wisconsin license as a Registered Nurse
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 6 months from date of hire.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Compensation
- Provide annual TB testing and follow-up on any new conversions or positives.
- Provide annual employee/volunteer influenza vaccination.
