About the role

  • The Staff Accountant or Accounting Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards within a fast-paced tech-enabled marketing agency.
  • The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills and understands the unique financial workflows of an agency; project-based billing, WIP, pass-through costs, time tracking, and client-based revenue cycles.

Responsibilities

  • General Accounting & Month-End Close Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Fixed assets management, including assets proposal, disposal and assets roll forward reporting Responsible for bank matching and reconciliation Maintain the general ledger and ensure consistent application of GAAP and internal accounting policies.
  • Maintain Sales and Use and other tax registrations and monitor correspondences on a regular basis

Requirements

  • Support audit preparation and participate in external financials audits and tax audits as required.
  • Experience with project-based accounting, WIP, and client billing.
  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (NetSuite, Workamajig, Deltek, Intacct, or similar).

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
  • CPA track or certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with time-tracking and project management systems preferred.

  • This position contributes to expense tracking, job/project accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and process improvement.

Compensation

  • Range: $75,000-$80,000- USD annually.
