About the role

The School of Philadelphia Ballet is seeking a part-time faculty member to serve as an ambassador for SPB, ensuring positive communication and interaction with all students, parents, teachers, and all other stakeholders.
Stage, choreograph, or rehearse assigned repertoire for student presentations/performances as needed and assigned.
Prepare mid-year and year-end leveling evaluations.

Prepare and teach assigned classes consistent with designed curriculum, specifically in the Children's and/or Student Program for students ages 3-18, and/or the Adult Program for students ages 16+. (Assignments will be determined by candidate's abilities and SPB needs.)
Maintain positive relations with parents and students from all SPB programs, through email, phone, parent/teacher conferences, and other in-person/zoom communications.
Perform all other duties appropriate to part-time faculty as requested.

Minimum of five years of experience teaching classical ballet technique.
Must be available to work weekends and evenings.
Familiarity with the Zoom platform and Microsoft Office products.
Additional administration hours may be available depending on needs and proficiency.

Expected Hours of Work
The full academic year at SPB runs September through mid-June while the summer programming runs for 6-8 weeks during the summer season. Hours vary and are typically during weekday evenings and Saturdays. Additional administration hours may be available depending on needs and proficiency.
