About the role
- The Cloud Architect is responsible for defining and governing enterprise cloud architecture, standards, and best practices with a primary focus on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Ability to lead and motivate technical team members Deep technical knowledge of AWS and experience designing enterprise cloud solutions.
- Design cloud solutions that support interoperability across multiple cloud providers when appropriate.
- Design and govern AWS Landing Zones, account structures, networking architecture, security controls, and operational standards using AWS best practices and the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
- Develop cloud cost optimization strategies and governance processes leveraging AWS Cost Explorer, budgeting tools, and FinOps best practices.
- Influence and drive cloud related capabilities solutions and opportunities in coordination with engineering operations and application development teams Translate business and technology requirements into architected technical solutions using cloud or internal technology offerings as appropriate.
Requirements
- What You'll Bring 5+ years' experience with architecting solutions on the AWS platform.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with full Microsoft stack including AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS Namespace, Windows Servers.

- Experience with Azure, GCP, or other hyperscale cloud providers is highly desirable.
- Good presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with audiences Work experience should involve support, risk management, solution design, project envisioning, planning, development, deployment, and management.
- Evaluate and recommend AWS, Azure, GCP, and third-party cloud services based on business, security, operational, and financial requirements.
