About the role

- Heidelberg Materials is seeking a safe, dependable, and motivated Quarry Pit Loader to join our operations team.
- This role is responsible for operating heavy equipment to efficiently move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials while supporting production goals and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load haul trucks and manage material stockpiles.
- Perform pre-shift inspections and basic equipment maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Monitor material quality and loading activities to support efficient quarry production.
- Collaborate with team members and plant personnel to maintain productivity and site organization.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and perform in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

- Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a quarry, mining, construction, or similar industrial environment.

- Dependable team player with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
- $24 per hour.
