About the role

  • The main focus for this engineer will be supporting released products (inks, printheads, press platforms) through customer escalations and qualifications.
  • This role will include significant customer-facing activities working together with HP services and R&D teams to enable and demonstrate a wide range of applications on HP PageWide Web Presses.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate inkjet press system settings, designs, and providing solutions to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Document and communicate optimal settings and end-to-end configurations for customer applications and application development
  • Perform qualifications related to changes in ink, printhead, press HW, and press SW features
  • Support customer assurance programs during transition from R&D through wide customer adoption
  • Be familiar with latest features, SW releases, and hotfixes to ensure presses are ready to deliver optimal performance

Requirements

  • In addition, this engineer will have particular focus on knowledge of mechanical subsystems such as paper path (tension control, rollers, print bars) and technical troubleshooting methods like fast Fourier transforms.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering fields

Nice to have

  • > 4 years working with Digital Printing technology.
  • Experience in Packaging and Commercial presses is preferred

  • Strong customer focus with desire to understand and find solutions to customer needs
  • Detail-oriented, desire and proven ability to use data and analytical methods to investigate/solve issues
