About the role

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Identify project risks, assumptions, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client walkthroughs.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for environmental remediation, asbestos abatement, lead abatement, mold remediation, selective interior demolition, and industrial demolition projects.
Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and contract requirements.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, and disposal estimates.
Develop competitive proposals and assist with bid submissions.
Maintain historical cost information and estimating databases.
Support business development efforts by assisting with budgeting, conceptual estimates, and negotiated proposals.
Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Help shape winning project strategies and support company growth.

Strong understanding of labor production, equipment costing, subcontractor pricing, and material estimating.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience estimating environmental remediation, asbestos abatement, demolition, or environmental construction projects.
Experience with HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Planswift, OST, or similar estimating software.
Experience with conceptual estimating and negotiated work.
OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
40-Hour HAZWOPER.
